AKA: The Broadview Developmental Center is located within Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The building was
constructed in 1939, and was opened as the Broadview Veterans Administration Hospital. As the breakout of
tuberculosis grew, a huge portion of the hospital was then used mainly for the treatment of tuberculosis affected
patients. Once the threat of TB had been considered under control, the building once again was used for the
medical needs of our veterans, and remained to do so for the next twenty years. By 1966 the federal
government handed the building over to the state of Ohio. It then became a clinical care facility for the mentally
challenged, which included a substantial number of children who would grow up within these walls. The hospital
remained open until 1989 and has stood vacant and abandoned since. It is said, by word of mouth thus far, plans
are being made to demolish this old piece of history.

Below, you can click on a very interesting EVP captured by one of our LT members
while on investigation of abandoned hospital site. A full report is not available as LT
was not a "group" as of the date of captured EVP. (although most of LT current
members were present on this outing). This was recorded at roughly 10:37pm.
Of special note: only two people were walking together at the precise time of
recording, You can hear each of their voices before the scratchy, harsh one - which
sounds to be directly over the recorder!
The original EVP was only heard once on original recording, but you will hear a
repeat of it on this display , for extra-easier review. Enjoy!

Follow-up
MAY 14, 2006-7pm until 11pm.
The evening began at sunset so that certain questionable past experiences, photos,
etc., could possibly be debunked and very few were successfully explained while doing
so. The evening was filled with cloudy skies as well as few , very short showers.
Average outdoor temperature held in the low 50s. Geometric storm field was strong
and moon was less then half-creasent while hiding behind clouds majority of our visit.
At one point during the investigation, two of our members concur hearing someone
saying "Hey!", sadly this was not audible on recording. Minutes later two "thuds"
were also heard by the same two members and this was very audible on recording!!
For the record, this sound still remains unexplained as to exact cause of sound.
While members had a strong feeling of 'someone watching or following them', member
took a photo and in photo a small mist is noted. (pic found on our reels page).
Our team also encountered one last gosling in a very distressing situation and as a
team, against defense from mother and father goose, we saved the last surviving
gosling, if for only one more night.
When reviewing our voice recordings; a terrible, very loud and awful screeching
sound was caught on recording. Under normal circumstances, people would say this
was recorded on a micro-cassette recorder and someone had hit the fast forward, etc,
button while recording, but this is not the situation as we record with a digital voice
recorder! Please also note: We , LT, had close to 4 hours of recording (digital) time
and the rest of the recording ran smooth and normally.
Our team then moved on to one of the outer housing facilities, and at which point we
all began to encounter serious equipment failures. In recent visits strange activity
and photos have been recorded from this housing facility.
JUNE 01, 2006
We returned to the Abandoned Hospital- not only for a follow-up
investigation, but also to be interviewed by a local news channel in the area!!
Not only was it exciting to be interviewed by the news team, but what was even
nicer was that the news team had an experience of their own during the
interview process. The cameraman had to replace the battery for HIS camera
a few times!!! The second battery he had tried only lasted two, maybe three
minutes. He was surprised and a bit dumbfounded, as some others, as to the
cause for this happening. He stated that he also had "double checked" his
equipment before leaving the station.
After our time with the news crew, we held a brief follow-up investigation of
the site.
Equipment used on this follow-up included: 3 digit cameras, 1 EMF detector, 1
digital voice recorder and 1 thermometer. The weather was clear and in the
mid 60's. Moon was about half full.
To be honest this was a fairly unresponsive investigation. We did check for the
family of geese we had seen and helped out on our last visit, and there was no
sign of them.

JUNE 26th, 2006
LT group members had a full day of investigations; as well as our radio interview, and we
decided to end the day with a quick stop at the hospital. We arrived as the sun was beginning
to set. The afternoon was very hot and humid which in turn created afternoon thunderstorms
in certain areas. It was apparent one of this storms had just passed over the site before our
arrival. Keeping this in mind, LT has been very cautious with any particular findings, such as
mists which could just be moisture bundles, strange sounds which could be made from water
drip or flow within the building, etc.. We must remember this structure is in poor shape and has
been abandoned for some time now.
~Members noticed some work beginning on the grounds. Where a door once was, the door had
been removed and majority of the opening had been covered with a huge piece of compressed
wood. Members searched out something to stand on to view inside. With some help, we were
able to view through a small portion of which remained open. Twice, at different times, our
members reported seeing a shadow figure crossing the end of the hallway within view. Possible
shadow caught in photo taken. LT will post photo if not debunked.
~While photos were being taken through some of the many broken windows, two members
reporting hearing -quite clearly- the sound of a heavy piece of furniture; such as a desk,
dresser, table, etc., being drug across the floor in another room within.
~Members also encountered a very cold breeze flowing out of one of the windows and took some
temperature readings which read a high of 59 degrees with very erratic fluctuations from high
to low and versa.
"The readings were just jumping all around! It just went crazy".
The lowest temperature recorded during reading period was recorded at 47 degrees.
