Private Residence in Ashtabula, Ohio.

About the property/residence:

We were invited by the current owner to carry out an investigation of this home which is currently undergoing
renovation.  The house is believed to have been built in the late 1800s to early 1900s.  Members are currently
researching exact past history of the house.  What we do know is that this house has sat empty for over 5 years
now and two previous residents have encountered some strange encounters while living in the home.  For
example: one such resident recalls having dreams in which individuals were on the property and in a way
chanting to them that "They did not belong here".   Much of this information is still under review also.  When the
current owner took over the property, they or a relative were taking photographs of the exterior of the home
and it is said there was a face of a female who was looking out at them from inside of a window.  Owner plans in
the very near future to share this photo with us.  Some of our group investigators prefer not to have information
before an investigation to leave their mind much more clear and open during the investigation.  So we took the
case.

Equipment used:     3 Digital cameras
1  Digital Video Camera with night-shot & Tripod
                                     2  Pair Dowsing rod
                                     1  EMF Detector
                                     1  Infrared Digital Thermometer
                                     4  Digital Voice recorders

The Investigation:

On April 1st, members arrived to the site just before six o'clock in the evening. The weather was windy and
getting colder, with initial outdoor temperature recorded at 43 degrees and dropping during our two an half
hour investigation to the high 30s.  Richard, Patti  & Lori entered the home and noted the smell of fire, this was
obviously seen on some of the higher beams of the first floor. The house is pretty much gutted with only
wooden beams dividing the rooms.

Members took an initial walk through of the home while taking base temperature and EMF readings.

Richard and Patti both encountered major battery failure,  four times for Richard and two times for Patti, with all
of her reserve batteries "dead" by the end of investigation!

As equipment was set up, Patti made her way to the second floor and took her spot.  She set up EVP and EMF
position while trying to carry out possible communication.  Meanwhile Lori and Richard were working the lower
floors of the home and both happened to be in the basement setting up a voice recorder and taking further
temperature readings when suddenly they both report hearing a very loud, bang or stomp sound.  Immediately
they both yelled up to Patti to make sure she was okay and she reported also hearing the sound and it
sounded to come from the same room in which she was sitting but it was not her.

Fifteen to twenty minutes after, Patti came down to the first floor and in doing so the EMF detector began to
signal, as though possibly someone may have been walking along with her.  Lori noted this and began asking
Patti if she had made any possible contact after the loud sound.  As they chatted the EMF continued to trigger
signals and Lori then grabbed her dowsing rods after obtaining some photographs.  Patti and Lori both asked
the questions while Lori was holding the rods.  During this communication attempt the rods did and only
responded to questions directed towards a younger girl by the name of Glenda, who may not have actually
lived on the property but did love to visit the property.  Research is underway regarding this name to the house
or property.

While Lori and Patti were doing this, Richard was in the basement carrying out EVP work and thermometer
readings and he reported seeing a shadow darkening a specific lighted area for a very short moment.

Summary:

Members agree to carry out a follow up on this site due to the severe battery drainages encountered as well as
EMF spikes which could not be explained. Members also agree, if allowed, to do so in a bit warmer weather and
less windy conditions, especially regarding EVP work.

Video data is still under review.

Negative EVP, and only very few faint "dust" orbs on photographs.
