Investigation Notes

Brief history of this particular site:

Property is located in Newcomerstown, Ohio, and has been owned by the same family for at least three generations now. This
area of Ohio was highly populated by Delaware Indian tribes along with a few other Native Americans. The town of
Newcomerstown was established in the late 1700s. Many artifacts from this time period are still uncovered to this day especially
within the lands which are now mainly used for farming.

Acreage of this property is reported to be 15 acres.

Interest / reason for investigation:

* Periodic strong feelings of being watched or followed while in the "bottom land" of property
* Other friends of family have also felt this strong feel and one in particular has since refused to return to a specific area on
    the property due to such a strong uncomfortable feeling during their last visit.
* Family member reported following "her father down towards the river area and having him disappear suddenly". Upon
   returning to the house, her father was still within the living quarters of the home and had never ventured outside during this
   time".
* Sightings of someone peeking from behind trees.
* Many encounters of battery failure within areas of the property ranging from flashlights, cameras, to 4-wheeler battery
   troubles.
* Strange lights seen, by family and neighbors, on the property during the late night - early morning hours, with no one
   actually on the property.
* Very sudden unexplained chills with the "hair on the back of your neck standing straight up accompanied with sudden goose
   bumps".
* Unexplained things captured on photos while just taking family pictures within in areas of the property.

Please note: these occurrences are not ALWAYS encountered, but enough throughout the years to bring about curiosity of
possible paranormal activity.

Weather conditions during investigation:

* New moon with clear skies.
* No wind other then typical light movement of air.
* Outdoor temperature was recorded to be 52 degrees (on site) during early investigation. End of investigation temperature
   was recorded to have been 41 degrees.
* Heavy fog set in around 8:47pm, which halted photography aspects of investigation.

Equipment used:

* 6 Digital Cameras
* 3 Digital Voice Recorders
* 1 Digital Thermometer
* 1 pair Dowsing Rods
* 1 EMF detector
* 2 Digital Video Recorders w / IR lighting
* 1 External IR lighting (8-bulb) attachment for video

Notes:

Members present for investigation consisted of Lori, Richard, Michelle, Russell, Kristy, Kas, along with prospective member Jim.

We began with a guided tour, accompanied by family members, of the property just before 4:30 pm. Thereafter group members
investigated freely during the hours of 5:47 to 10:50 pm. Members decided to break off into groups of three so that more area
could be covered during this visit.

Battery failures were reported as soon as 7 minutes into investigation beginning with Kass' camera. Lori also reported the
thermometer began going "hay wire" while taking base temperature readings. When she tried to use her flashlight to check the
low battery indicator, her flashlight was totally dead. She had fresh batteries and had just tested this before beginning. She
had decided to change the batteries in both her flashlight and thermometer. Once new batteries were placed in thermometer, it
seems to have short circuited, fried itself and has not worked since! Could this have just been equipment malfunction or
something other then such? Jim reported, he too encountered unexplained battery failure regarding his camera which resulted
in having to change batteries four times throughout the evening.

While venturing further back into the wooded area; Kristy, Jim and Richard all report certain areas felt much warmer then
others, with some being "bone chilling" cold. At one point Richard lagged behind Kristy and Jim, while doing so he encountered
a very strong sense of someone walking up behind him. He turned around expecting to see another member of the group to
be there, but no one was there. All three reported feeling as though someone was watching them from a distance as they
walked about. Lori also reported during walking in the back wooded area, she had stopped and was taking photographs when
she heard three faint footsteps behind her, again with no one visible to the naked eye. Colored orbs were captured at this time.

There is an old trailer which sits back in the woods and during our initial tour of the property Jim reported feeling sadness, to
the point of which he wanted to cry, upon entering the trailer. During investigation Michelle reported hearing someone loudly
whispering her name when in the trailer. No other members where in the trailer at this time. Richard and Kristy also reported
hearing a loud whisper while sitting in this area. Richard had spent some time in the rear of the trailer until it got so suddenly
cold that he actually had to get up and moved into the next room. Once leaving the rear, he noted a drastic change in
temperature, much warmer. Kristy also spent some time in the rear of the trailer and repeatedly had the name of "Sarah" come
to her. At one point, "Sarah, a yellow dress" came to her with intensity. During visiting the trailer on a separate account, Kristy
also experienced the feel of water which had dripped onto her left check area, with actual moisture felt when wiped away!
Members did go investigate the particular area in which she was standing and no leaks or dripping from the roof were detected.
Just before closing up investigation for the evening; Michelle, Lori and Russell carried out a sit-down inside the trailer. During
communication attempts, possible knocks were heard in response when asked to do so. Members also noted very cold spots,
which moved throughout area, which at times would leave members with the feel of light-headiness along with the feel of being
"drained".

Summary:

* Strong sense/feel of someone standing or following members throughout investigation was encountered by all members.
* High amount of battery failure noted.
* All members agree possible presence did not feel to be of hostile nature but more of curious of who and what we were doing
   there, as if we had intruded.
* Many colored, solid orbs captured in photos when the feel of someone watching.
* Strange unexplained mists also captured in photos.
* EVP results, negative on this visit.
* Video, negative.
* Follow up investigation is warranted for this site.
