| Investigation Notes September 27, 2008 Midnight through six in the morning For this year's investigation, Legend Trackers set up a private hunt of the penitentiary inviting along members from SIGHT of Ohio and Team Spectre. In total, we had twenty ghost investigators on site for this investigation. LT members present were Rick, Russell, Michelle, Lori and Rick's wife Patty. Please note the following notes are those of only LT members. Equipment used: 4 Digital cameras 5 Digital voice recorders 3 Infrared digital thermometers 1 EMF detector 1 K-ll meter 1 Video recorder Walkie Talkies White Gate Cemetery Rick and his wife, Patty, stopped at the penitentiary cemetery earlier in the evening. He reported: "What a fantastic place for an investigation! We purposely arrived early just to be able to check out the cemetery for the prison and we were not disappointed! A mist was captured at one point and some strange lights appeared in some other photos. Upon investigating there were no animals to produce red eye and it wasn't at all dense plant material. There was an oppressive feeling though in the back of the cemetery, but nothing was found conclusive". Penitentiary Notes: Sugar Shack: Russell reported, "Michele and I were outside in the yard near the “Sugar Shack”, which from now on in the rest of the report, will refer to it as SS. We were sitting outside, trying to get EVP and maybe some recording on the video camera. We were sitting outside when all of a sudden two members from another group that was also there, came running out of the SS. They were down there trying to make contact, when the members felt a wall of darkness come toward them and as they said, tried to take one of them over. As they came and sat near us, they were recalling there tale to us. After the one individual calmed down, the two individuals went back into the main part of the prison. As Michele and I were left sitting outside, I sensed,as well as Michele, the yard was becoming active with spirits. About that time, it started to sprinkle a bit,and we decided to move indoor. Not only because of the rain, but also Michele was starting to feel more and more fearful. While Michele was standing near the door to go back inside, she kept reciting the protection prayer she has learned. As she was saying this, a voice came to her and said”No you are not”. At that point, it was about 2 minutes before I could get to Michele. When I tried to touch her, in a voice of a male, she said to me, “Don’t touch me”. At that point, Michele ran into the main hallway, and was in a way,pinned on the floor. When I tried to help her up, she kept saying that something was holding her down. After a few minutes, and a few prayers I said over her, what ever was holding her, let go. After helping her to the main visitation part, Michele was able to calm down and regain her strength to continue onto the night". Kitchen / Cafeteria: Russell and Michele united with other LT members who were in the kitchen area. Members investigated this area for 90 minutes due to the fact that members had a strong sense of someone or thing playing hide and seek with them. Quite a few battery and equipment malfunctions were reported by members in this area. At one point the sound of something taping on metal was heard three separate times within a five minute period and never heard again thereafter. All members asked one another if it were they who was tapping and everyone answered "no, thought it was you". At one point, Kevin from SIGHT came into the kitchen area and decided he would try going around the area to possibly help flush them/it out to us. He returned and stated that he to felt a presence in the back near the dishwashers. Half an hour after Kevin's departure, Lori and Rick ventured back to the dishwashers once again while other three LT members stayed at the other end of the kitchen. Rick and Lori both reported hearing footsteps walking towards them and catching a shadow from the corner of their eye. At one point a definite feel of anger or evil or something was menacing to several of the group Dungeon (R.D. Wells murder site): We did get a K-ll spike when entering into one of the rooms but sadly we were unable to carry out a successful investigation of this area due to another groups communication attempts. Medical Unit: Lori reported, "When we ventured up to the hospital area, the smell of illness and death was evident to us all. We went to the end of hall where the padded room is said to have been. Group members sat in there for some time while I was getting pulled back out to the hallway. I was taking pictures and speaking out when suddenly I felt a very warm sensation as though someone had bumped me while passing by me to go out the door". Caged area: While members were sitting in the caged area (where they would search prisoners before and after entering the yard area) members did get a few metal hitting metal sounds when asking for a response. Lori captured these sounds on her voice recorder. Summary: No conclusive evidence found other the personal experiences and unexplained sounds when asking for a response. No severe temperature changes noted, with base temperature running 61-68 degrees throughout the penitentiary. Unexplained mists captured in a couple photographs. Orbs captured when sense of a presence was felt. EVPs negative other then metal hitting metal at one point in the investigation. Group members do agree follow-up investigation is warranted.
